General information:

The ranch, located at 7,500 ft. on a plateau in the mountains just 90 mins North of Mexico City Intl. Airport, is bordered by three waterfalls 'Las Cascadas'! It is made up of several buildings, all in Mexican style, set in beautifully tended gardens.

The facilities at the ranch include a lounge and library, a conservatory with guest computer, a well-stocked bar, billiard table and dart board and the heart of any Mexican home, a fabulous open kitchen.

Outside, overlooking the waterfalls is the sun terrace, decked with loungers, surrounding a hot tub – the perfect place to unwind. There are also many other places to discover in the grounds of the ranch, including the cactus garden and the hammocks hidden away under the trees.

The guest rooms are individually decorated in typical Mexican country style. Much attention is given to the finer details creating a seamless combination of comfort and style.

P U E B L I T O   R O O M S
These new rooms are nestled between the Main House and the Corral. They surround a central terrace with cactus garden and water feature, all adding to the traditional atmosphere of a 'Pueblito', a Mexican village.
Each one is individually designed to reflect the vibrancy and colour of Mexican life.
The Pueblito rooms all have King size beds and are ideal for single or double use.

 

C L A S S I C   P A T I O   R O O M S
These two rooms in the main house open to the colorful Mexican courtyard (patio) and are built in hand-crafted stone. They are situated directly next to the Deluxe Patio Rooms, making them ideal for parents who would like privacy but to have the children close by. Each one has 2 Twin beds, dressing area and en-suite facilities.
These rooms are suitable for single, twin or triple share use, as they can also accommodate extra single beds.

 

D E L U X E   P A T I O   R O O M S
These two spacious rooms, including additional lounge area, are situated in the main house off the central courtyard (patio).

The rooms are available as Kingsize plus seating area or optional single bed to accommodate a couple, a twin share or triple share.
 
Supplement for Deluxe Patio Rooms USD 25 per night per room.

 

C A S I T A S
These two detached lodges offer maximum privacy and space.

Each has its own shaded veranda and seating outside, while inside you have a lounge area, work space and Internet connection.

The casitas can accommodate 2 – 5 people.

Rancho Las Cascadas

C L I M A T E  -  333 days of sunshine a year

Set on a plateau at an altitude of 7500 feet, among beautiful mountains, the weather conditions in this unique geographical location are very moderate. All year long, even in the Summer, the average temperature at midday is in the mid 70s (around 22°C). Depending on the season, the evenings and mornings can be somewhat cooler, but the daytime temperatures are perfect for riding any time of the year.
The ranch is open all year round. In the summer season, May - October, the flowers are in bloom and the countryside is a beautiful lush green. It can rain in the evenings followed by beautiful blue skies the following day. The winter season, November - April, is typified by rich golden colors and endless vistas.

Massage:
For a real treat, book yourself a massage. We have a tranquil massage room and offer a hot stone massage at or a deep tissue massage at USD40 50 mins. Either one will leave you relaxed and invigorated.

Jacuzzi:
After a day of riding or other adventures head for our outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking the waterfalls.  Allow your body to relax in the warm waters while enjoying a Margarita or two.

Hiking/Running:
If you prefer adventures under your own steam, you can walk, hike or jog in any direction from the ranch for a variety of geographic and cultural experiences.  Enjoy the physical challenge of this varied terrain; take in the vibrant color of this rural landscape; revel in the beauty of the plants indigenous to the area; and discover quaint villages unchanged by time.

Lounge Activities:
Take time out to enjoy our lounge and challenge one of your fellow guests to a game of darts, pool, or chess, while listening to music and enjoying a drink from the bar.

Reading:
Help yourself to a book from our library, head to the lounge chairs, Jacuzzi or one of the hammocks - and immerse yourself in a good novel.  Our library offers many volumes in English, Spanish and German.
Bird watching:
Numerous species of birdlife play and feed at the ranch.  Further out in the fields or up the mountains, majestic hawks, kites and eagles soar in the skies and wild turkeys scurry through the bushes. Bring your binoculars!

Photography/Painting:
In addition to your point-and-shoots, you may want to bring your serious cameras as the ranch is a favorite for photographers as well as a paradise for painters. You have the opportunity to photograph the hand-made rock walls, cacti, flowers, and historic haciendas in the area; compelling images of the locals farming their land; and stunning photographs of ‘las cascadas’ – the ranch’s namesake waterfalls.

Cooking:
Our kitchen staff is happy for you to watch or assist with the preparation of any meals, so that you can learn some Mexican traditions.
